- General info
Motol Univeristy Hospital (MUH) provides basic, specialized and super specialized health care and services in various medical fields for outpatients and inpatients, for children, adults and elderly patients. It is the biggest health care facility in Czech Republic. It is built in two single blocks that are connected together as well as few separate pavilions. It has 2,189 beds, more than 717,000 outpatients per year, more than 76,000 inpatients per year and more than 5,000 employees. Our excellent specialists provide medical care in wide range of specializations.
MUH is also well equiped to provide medical care for foreign patients or any patients without Czech public insurance. There is Foreign and Private Patient Department (FPPD) that helps the foreigners to solve all issues related to non-public insurance, payments, language barrier etc. FPPD is situated in the main blue building, on the groundfloor, in the corridor that connects children's and adults' sections of the hospital, right next a flowershop. If you are foreigner and need any medical care, please, at first visit FPPD. FPPD is opened Monday-Friday 7AM-9PM, Saturday-Sunday and state holidays 8AM-9PM. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact FPPD via phone or email.
At FPPD you can also get all information on premium services and other paid services (e.g. plastic surgery, medically assisted reproduction, certificates of health fitness for various applications, excursions etc) offered in MUH.
If you are interested in any medical procedure to be performed in MUH, do not hesitate to contact FPPD and we will try to arrange an appointment at the appropriate Department. If you are going to be admitted to MUH for a hospitalization (as planned or acutely), we will try to make your stay here as comfortable as possible. There is always a medical staff at the ward you can ask for a help or information. You can be accommodated at the premium room for an extra fee (if capacity of the ward allows it), you can order a premium food, no matter where you are accommodated. If you are at a regular room, you can buy WiFi access (it is included in the price for premium room).
